According to labor law expert David Beitz, a home office is a permanently installed workplace at home. The employer has to provide equipment such as computers and check whether occupational health and safety standards are guaranteed, and maybe even have to pay for the furniture. The employee must be available and working at this workplace.
In the case of mobile working, it does not matter where work is completed and the conditions mentioned above do not apply.
Therefore, many companies use the term mobile working.
However, since the term home office is much more common, we will use home office in the following contents of this course, and by this, we also mean mobile working.
